Mike Stack Takes Wheels On The Road (Calgary, January 6, 2003...)
Calgary singer-songwriter Mike Stack takes his first solo release I Need Wheels, on the road with stops in February in Nashville and Austin in March. Stack's musical journey has taken him from leading two critically-acclaimed Canadian bands, The Burners in the late 1980's and The Grift in the 90's both noted for highly energetic bluesy rock n' roll and tex mex original tunes to the release of his first solo project in 2002.

I Need Wheels has earned radio play on CKUA and CBC networks and internationally in Japan, Belgium and Texas. He has wowed crowds at the auspicious Calgary Folk Festival and many other festivals and singer songwriter stages across the country. Stack's trip down south will take him to the places that continue to inspire songwriters that have graced similar stages including his musical heroes John Prine, Guy Clarke, Steve Earle and Kevin Welch. Watch for updates on Stack's journey and don't miss his shows listed above.
